1. Know the definition of all important literary terms. 2. Be able to read at a quick pace while still understanding the article. 3. Learn about tone and mood of a piece of lit. 4. Know how to analyze poetry. 5. Know the definitions of larger words... like animistic, quasi-religious,circumspect... etc.
